Want to become a ski bum for a season for free?
Remember that competition a while back to become the caretaker of a island some where near Australia or New Zealand (I can’t remember exactly where!) Well it did amazing things for the local tourist office, and it’s no surprise that other destinations are jumping on the bandwagon!
Sun Peaks Resort is has now announces a once-in-a-lifetime competition, “I want to be the Snow Bum”. If you win you will be giving to chance to have an all inclusive stay in the mountains for the entirety of next season (well three months)!
This Snow Bum is going to get some great perks including return flights to Kamloops, British Columbia, from the closest airport to their city of residence, resort accommodation from January to March, a season’s ski pass, clothing, ski or board equipment, food vouchers totalling $5,000 CAD, activities such as snowsledding, backstage passes to any resort events, a mobile phone and laptop to perform the catch of this!
In return for all these fabulous freebies, the winner will be expected to have daily communication on social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and the Snow Bum blog. This could include text, video or images. The winner will also be expected to take part in media events in the resort.
“What could be better than riding every day and living on a mountain in a world class village,” says Christopher Nicolson, President of Tourism Sun Peaks. “People travel from all over the world for a week at Sun Peaks. This winner will live and ski or board the whole winter…for free!”
