Val d’Isere ski resort developments for 2009/10

Val d’Isere will be opening for the winter on November 28th 2009. There are not many other ski resorts with such a good snow sure record for that early in the season, so if you’re itching to go, then Val d’Isere is definitely a good bet.

Alongside all the fabulous skiing, Val d’Isere are also adding a few features on snow and off the snow. There will be a brand new sport and aquatics leisure centre opening around December 20th. This will be open for relaxing after-ski or more intense training sessions!!! Mmmmmm we think the first option is more likely! With 5 000 m2 of sporting equipment including a 780 m2 pool area, a 225 m2 well-being area (sauna, steam bath, spa, cold baths, hydro-massage…), climbing area, weights room and squash courts there is plenty to choose from.

On the snow in Val d’Isere there will be new areas specifically designed for beginners and families, creating an ultra-safe environment for instruction.  Young and old will thus have fun learning to ski in safety, whilst enjoying splendid panoramas.
