Snowcoach
There are a few coach seats available after Christmas to France and Austria. They are open today until 4pm on 01727 866177. The best deal seems to be leaving on 29th December for 6 days / 3 nights to St Gervais or Valeinier for only £338 or £238 without coach travel. This includes chalet board, so breakfast, afternoon tea and 4 course evening meal with wine. It’s been snowing in St Gervais and Valmenier and the conditions are looking great for next week.

Ski Famille
There is still some New Years availability in their Les Gets Chalets, prices are around 35% off normal pricing and having stayed in one of their chalets I can guarantee you’ll have an excellent stay. Prices include breakfast, afternoon and dinner with a choice of wines and 5 days childcare. Call the office now on 0845 6443764. It’s been snowing in Les Gets and currently 75% of the resort is open, more is forecast this week.

Ski Beat
Ski Beat still have New Years availability in La Tania, La Plagne, La Rosiere and Les Arcs. Best deal is Chalet Pierra Menta 2 in La Plagne which is £599 including flights reduced by £450! It’s snowing in La Plagne this week and there’s a good base.  Call Ski Beat on 01243 780 405.

Ski France are offering any available chalet for £199 only for New Years week (leaving 26th December). Call them on 0845 862 1121.

Dynamic Lives
For those looking for a chic all singing and dancing New Year then Chalet Marti is still available in Chamonix, it’s a bargain at only £24,666 for the week reduced by £6,000 and it has 8 ensuite bedrooms. Our pick of Opodo’s ski deals are:

Le Riviere apartments in Chamonix, situated only 50m from the nearest lift. A week on 23rd of January self catering would set you back £249 (based on 4 sharing). Flights are included from London or alternative airports. Book here.

Le Grand Chalet in Val Thorens is right in the centre of town and only 200m from the nearest ski lift. Val Thorens being high and with a glacier is perfect for a late ski holiday, go early April (3rd) and get an apartment for only £369 per person including flights from Gatwick (or alternative airports). The other good news about the flights is that they really are civilised, you’ll leave London at 12pm and leave Geneva at 15:40, so no crack of dawn starts. Book here.

If you’re still looking for a cheap half term option, then this really must be top of the list. Stay at Pension Niedermuhlbichler in Soll from the 13th February and get a week for only £190 each including flights from Manchester (or alternative airports.) Although this establishment is usually B&B, this week it is self catering only, however for £190 you can hardly complain. There are plenty of great places to eat in Soll, so you won’t have any problems finding breakfast or dinner. Book here.

Tignes

Mountain Sun have got a week staying in Tignes Les Boisses at £169 fully catered from 12th December. Les Boisses is pretty low but a ski bus runs so if there is a lack of snow you can be whisked up to Val Claret in 10-15 minutes. More information here.

Les Menuires

Les Menuires tourist office have got some great deals on at the moment. I’ll be off somewhere in the Alps on the 12th December and this is my current favourite. Get a inclusive lift pass with accommodation and prices start from 143 euros per person. More information here.

Les Arcs

Alpine Elements are offering free lift passes for their “trainer” weeks. This is the first week that their staff will be let loose on paying clients, although they will have gone through training. Gold standard Chalet Des Neiges costs £549 on December 13th with the free lift pass. More information here.

Les Gets

Ski Famille have got a week, fully catered in Burgrave chalet currently available for £325 for week commencing 12th December. This amazingly includes all the trimmings you’d expect from a chalet, plus 5 days childcare! If you’ve got kids you’re really not going to get better than this. More information here. Mayrhofen (Ziller Valley)

Crystal Ski have got a self drive B&B week in Hotel Obermair in Mayrhofen on week commencing 12th December at £285. Mayrhofen is part of the Ziller Valley ski area which includes the Hintertux Glacier offering practically all year skiing, so you can be guaranteed of some good skiing. More information here.
