If like us you love the look of the price of self catering but hate the thought of having to come off the slopes and slave over the hob for hours or wander around a ski resort trying to decide where to eat then we think we’ve stumbled across the perfect solution for you.

There seem to be a growing number of resort based companies who will offer you a catered option in your self catering accommodation. You can choose the number of meals per day you want them to provide and they’ll do the rest. It seems like a win win situation to us, you can still benefit from the cost savings you get by booking your holiday independently and you don’t have to lose out on the luxury of having a home cooked meal waiting for you when you get back from a hard day out on the slopes!

Most of the companies we’ve looked at have really flexible options available so you could choose to save money by making your own breakfasts and skipping the afternoon tea and still have a home cooked evening meal in the comfort of your own place. Or on the other hand if your accommodation savings mean you’ve got a bit more money left in your budget you can go for a fully catered option with all the trimmings.

Here are a couple of companies we’ve come across that offer this service (if you know of others let us know and we’ll add them):

Chalet Chefs, covering Morzine and Les Gets

Service Compris, in Chamonix
