December skiing bargains
For all of you getting ski itch early this year, here are some of the best December ski deals to be found, in the most snow secure resorts in Europe.
Mountain Sun have got a week staying in Tignes Les Boisses at £169 fully catered from 12th December. Les Boisses is pretty low but a ski bus runs so if there is a lack of snow you can be whisked up to Val Claret in 10-15 minutes. More information here.
Les Menuires tourist office have got some great deals on at the moment. I’ll be off somewhere in the Alps on the 12th December and this is my current favourite. Get a inclusive lift pass with accommodation and prices start from 143 euros per person. More information here.
Alpine Elements are offering free lift passes for their “trainer” weeks. This is the first week that their staff will be let loose on paying clients, although they will have gone through training. Gold standard Chalet Des Neiges costs £549 on December 13th with the free lift pass. More information here.
Ski Famille have got a week, fully catered in Burgrave chalet currently available for £325 for week commencing 12th December. This amazingly includes all the trimmings you’d expect from a chalet, plus 5 days childcare! If you’ve got kids you’re really not going to get better than this. More information here. Not quite so cheap but go the week after and you can take advantage of the Granny goes free offer.
Mayrhofen (Ziller Valley)
Crystal Ski have got a self drive B&B week in Hotel Obermair in Mayrhofen on week commencing 12th December at £285. Mayrhofen is part of the Ziller Valley ski area which includes the Hintertux Glacier offering practically all year skiing, so you can be guaranteed of some good skiing. More information here.
