British Snow Tour 2009
Fancy yourself as the next Chemmy Alcott or Shaun White? Well the British Snow Tour 2009 kicks off next month and pre-registration is now open. Riders will get the chance to not only win British Championship Titles, but gain World ranking points and an overall position alongside the like of snowboarding megastars Shaun White and Jamie Anderson.
The tour kicks off on Saturday 12th September at Norfolk’s Snowports Centre and in an attempt to bring a festival feel to proceedings organisers are encouraging the masses to pitch up at the local campsite and get ready for a full weekend of world-class freestyle! Then on September 19th the tour heads to Milton Keynes for the British Big Air Championships and the following weekend it’s off to SNO!zone at Glasgow for the Trespass Snowboardcross and Skiercross Championships. Castleford plays host to the Animal Slopestyle Championships on Saturday 3rd October and finally the tour ends at the Ski and Snowboard Show in Olympia on Friday 23rd October with the top 12 snowboarders and top 12 freeskiers invited to compete on a Snowflex Kicker.

- 3rd October 2009, SNO!zone, Castleford: Animal Slopestyle Championships
- 23rd October 2009, Metro Ski and Snowboard Show, Olympia, London: Snowflex Kicker
And as if all the above isn’t enough, the British Snow Tour isn’t only about the events and in the inspirational schools tour programme will continue to run alongside the championships to spread the word about skiing and snowboarding to over 10,000 kids, in Norfolk, Milton Keynes, Glasgow and Castleford, with over 600 free introductory lessons being dished out in local schools.
